LOOK,IM NOT GOING TO WASTE TIME WITH ALL THE DETAILS–THIS IS A EXCELLENT PRODUCT.I HAVE USED THE OLD 7.0 VERSION KASPERSKY AND JUST RECENTLY UPGRADED TO THE NEW 2009 VERSION.THE OLD VERSION WAS GOOD,BUT THIS IS EVEN BETTER–THE OLD VERSION HAD A TENDENCY TO SLOW MY COMPUTER ALOT DURING COMPUTER START-UP ONLY,BUT IT NEVER LET ME DOWN FOR PROTECTION. AND YES IT ASKED PERMISSION FOR EVERY SIMPLE EXECUTION OF ANY FILE THAT WAS CHANGED OR OPENED,IT WAS SIMPLY ANNOYING.THE NEW VERSION DOES ALOT OF THE WORK ITSELF RATHER THAN ASKING WHAT IT SHOULD DO.IT’S SIMPLIFIED AND IT’S EASY TO UPGRADE,IT TOOK ONLY 10 MINS.TOTAL TO UNINSTALL KASPERSKY 7.0, THEN POP IN THE CD TO UPGRADE KASPERSKY INTERNET SECURITY 2009—DO NOT USE ANYTHING ELSE!! NORTON OR MCAFEE WILL LET YOU DOWN PERIOD,I HAVE USED THE NORTON 360 AND HAD TO REPLACE MY HARD DRIVE BECAUSE A VIRUS HAD ENTERED MY SYSTEM.NOT GOOD, I PISSED GOOD MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN BECAUSE I RELIED ON A ANTI-VIRUS THAT DIDNT DO IT’S JOB AND NOT TO MENTION WAS A HUGE RESOURCE HOG–IT SLOWS DOWN YOUR COMPUTER TERRIBLY.I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE ARE HAVING TROUBLE INSTALLING THIS PROGRAM–ANYTIME YOU INSTALL ANYTHING ON YOUR COMPUTER DO SOME RESEARCH TO FIND IF IT’S COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR WINDOWS XP OR VISTA OPERATING SYSTEM. AND MAKE SURE ALL OF THE FILES FROM THE OTHER ANTI-VIRUS YOU WASTED YOUR MONEY ON– ARE GONE,BEFORE YOU START!!!KASPERSKY IS COMPATIBLE WITH XP AND VISTA—IT STARTS FASTER AND GUESS WHAT, WHEN I UPGRADED FROM KAS 7.0 TO KAS 2009-YOU KNOW HOW MANY VIRUSES I HAD!-NONE!!!NOW THAT’S RELIABILITY.

Solid protection for internet….some problems with identifying and blocking intrusions but otherwise a good product

I’m pleased with this product. I’ve used Norton for years, but lately
it’s created more bugs than it caught, and slowed down the computer.
I tried Micro Trent and AVG, but encountered problems with each attempt
at installation. Kaspersky installed easily, and works in the background including downloading frequent updates. Very user-friendly.

I bought Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 (3-computer version) on sale for $28 and installed it on 3 laptops in my home. I quickly became dissatisfied with it in less than a week due to its layout and more importantly its overall function. It’s good at identifying viruses, trojans & such but it’s quite vague when it comes to what you should do with the threats it finds… delete them, ignore them, keep them quarantined, etc.? Many users end up seeking assistance from the Kaspersky forum where volunteer “expert” moderators try to assist non-expert users with achieving solutions to various problems including how to handle identified threats, how to troubleshoot & repair glitches, etc. Saying to hell with that mess, I uninstalled Kaspersky and replaced it with Norton Internet Security 2009 (3-computer version) which I’ve found to be far superior to Kaspersky in both design and function. Unlike prior Norton offerings, this edition is blazing fast, unobtrusive and extremely user-friendly. I strongly recommend using free trial downloads to evaluate other antivirus programs (including the free ones) before purchasing Kaspersky.

Great price and great product. I have been using Kaspersky for 2 yrs and have not had any security problems, though I did have major trouble when I used a dif. security product. Since I was already using Kaspersky I wanted to stay with this product. Works for me.
