An excellent program for manipulating graphics within documents and creating documents for publication. The PDF edit capability is a real plus. Recommend.

I have really enjoyed using this program. I am currently working on a newsletter and am creating a menu as we speak. I am glad I spent the money on this one.

5 Stars Just awesome for the money
Ok, I have to admit it - I’m totally converted to Serif software when I hadn’t even heard of them 6 months. I’ve used Microsoft Publisher for years and years, but after using both WebPlus and DrawPlus from Serif I thought I’d give their DTP product a go. THis is more powerful, has loads more features, is far easier to use AND is a lot less money than Microsoft.

I’ve just made a flyer for an upcoming event. The thing that surprises me most is the drawing and graphics tools which are in here - I didn’t need to use DrawPlus, I just did it straight in PagePlus. Apart from saving a load of time, the cool thing is that if you need to adjust a graphic as you’re laying it out on the page you can do all the adjustments in place, without having to keep tweaking it in another program, importing it in, realising it’s still not quite right, editing it again in your drawing program, etc. etc.

Please, don’t spend $160 on Microsoft Publisher - save yourself $60 and get this instead. You will not be dissapointed.

I’ve been in the bit-banging business for more than 20 years. This product from Serif is Number One. The attention to detail is great. An outstanding appreciation is shown for the types of problems that users may run into in when working in this process environment.

It’s a comfortable software to use and it’s priced right!

5 Stars OJT with Publisher
Microsoft Publisher ‘07 is wonderful. I am using it without too much tutorial use and am finding that it is easy to maneuver through the newsletter I am publishing. I think this product will be a very good tool to use for many purposes.

1 Star Upgrade - don’t bother
Microsoft Publisher 2007 Version Upgrade I purchased this upgrade expecting some new tools and better templates but I was disappointed. Not much new in my opionion. I like the older versions better. As Publisher gets upgraded over the years it doesn’t change enough to make the purchase of the upgraded program worth it. Save your money.

4 Stars still a great product
Publisher is still a great work horse for creative publications — new version is just a tad cumbersome — and, at the same time, somewhat easier. Go figure. In addition to the church newsletter and various graphic projects, I actually design many of my quilts with Publisher! It’s so easy to manipulate graphic images and text selections.

5 Stars MS Office Publisher 2007
I have been using Publisher for several years, and I use it more than any of my other programs. I normally print my photographs from publisher, after working on them in Photoshop. I do corparate brochures that I have printed for the customers in a comerical print shop. It works well and they also have Publisher so any last minute changes can be made before printing. I also do two newsletters and I do all the layout here and then print them as a PDF file to be E-Mailed or make paper print for mailing.

3 Stars Not very upgraded
Microsoft Publisher is one of the few programs that I have used every day since Version 1 (the other is Quicken). I have purchased every new upgrade to both programs and literally could not be without either. When Publisher 2003 came out, it was a fairly substantial improvement over its predecessor in both format and functionality. Now that I am using a brand-new computer with Windows Vista and the latest version of MS Office, I decided to get the 2007 upgrade to Publisher. I am very disappointed. Not that it’s bad … Publisher is still a very useful program … but that it is virtually identical to the 2003 version, including the same old tacky and dated 1990’s templates. Sure there are a few enhancements, but the user interface takes a step backwards and reminds me of Windows 98 and like Vista and Office, what used to take one keystroke now takes 2 or 3. It has none of the cool and useful new look or features of the other Office 2007 products. Quite honestly, I believe Microsoft should have made this a free download rather than to pawn it off as a whole new version. Since I am still a big fan of Publisher I will have to split my review into two parts: the full-version of Publisher at 149 dollars is worth 5 stars and I would recommend it to anyone who has never used Publisher. The upgrade-version at 85-100 dollars barely gets 3 stars, if you already have Publisher 2003, don’t waste your money upgrading it.

After spending a load of money on printing I decided to invest in Microsoft Publisher. The software is great, easy to use and offers a large varity for printing.

Microsoft Office Publisher 2007 is great- I especially appreciate that it allows me to email my publications in PDF format to my members.

This is an excellent product for producing a newsletter. My only complaint centers around the need for a download to produce a PDF document. Adobe is a standard in publishing and the ability to create a PDF file should be built-in and automatic.

3 Stars Program is Great, Unfortunately my copy was damaged in shipping.
I am pleased with the companies notification to me that my copy was damaged in shipping. Unfortunately, they did not have a replacement for me. They were very prompt in informing me of the “BAD” news. I had downloaded a trial version from microsoft to “test drive” the program and it works great. Thanks.

5 Stars MS Publisher 1995 was excellent ; MS Publisher 2007 is SUPERB!
I’ve been using Micrsoft Publisher since 1995 & have ordered 2 new computers. Surpringly, LOL, this last computer, I just purchased, would not accept that old of a CD so the 1995 Publisher version that I had done “publishing” work on for all these years, for which I thought it was excellent software as it was, forced me into the 2007 MS Publisher version. Gosh, I wish I would have not been so nervous about upgrading earlier. This is SUPERIOR to it’s 1995 version; I didn’t think it was possible to improve on it, &, basically, in my opinion, it didn’t need much improvement. They have provided, in the 2007 version, increased layout options, increased color selections, easier access for getting to different pages within the same document & the “Help” index is straight forward & completely easy to follow. I, enthuasiastically, & completely suggest MS Publsiher 2007 for serious “desktop publishing” individuals.

3 Stars It does not compare with what I already have
By the way I returned the Home Edition, because I would prefer the standard edition.

4 Stars Always a good program
I have always liked WordPerfect better than word. My edition was getting old so I picked up this new one. It is a bit different but easy to navigate and has some great updates. I would recommend it for anyone needing lots or word processing.

3 Stars Word processor and spreadsheet OK
The best part of the whole program is WordPerfect word processor and Quattropro the spreadsheet. The rest of the program is not worth anthing. I loaded the complete program and then uninstalled everything except the above.

4 Stars Word Perfect is almost perfect
This version of WP is as good as its predecessors, and the conversion programs are better. Make it your default app for Word docs.

There is only one problem I have come across so far. If you set Select mode to WP 9, it is still buggy; it takes some effort to select the text you want. You can always set the mode to the earlier version.

1 Star Do not buy for serious business?
I have always used the other well-known office suites in the past but when I received an offer on this suite at a significant discount, I thought I would try it. I should mention I’m a doctoral student in the middle of a dissertation, so the challenge was to migrate important data and documents into WordPerfect and Quattro Pro. While I was able to get it done the Quattro Pro interface with SPSS, which had worked seemlessly with the other spreadsheet, failed horribly. Not to mention the complicated details of what should be simple document formatting–the Visual Basic Editor kept freezing or denying me access.

Invest in a better product if you have serious work. I’ve gone back to the benchmark office suite product.
