2 Stars Slows your PC to Turtle Speed
This AVG Internet Security Product seems to do its job, however it does so at the expense of your computers resources. It slowed every aspect of my 3 computers to a snails pace. PC: 1GM or 2GB Ram, 2.1Ghz Pentium II. Opening documents SLOW, accessing the internet SLOW, opening Outlook SLOW, booting up SLOW. I did every speed trick I could find out about and it was still slow; used a program to clean and delete unused files (.tmp, etc). Cleaned out all non-critical start up programs, I made sure there was plenty of free space on my hard disk. I used a registry cleaner (ccleaner [free]) to clean up my registry. I defragged the drive, still SLOW, SLOW, SLOW. I then removed AVG and WOW it is like a new PC, fast again. By the way last years Norton 360 had similar effects.

MY NEW SECURITY PLAN: Use windows firewall (included in windows), my ISP also has a firewall, use Mozilla Firefox (free & better) not IE. Use a spam program Mailwasher. This has been working, no viruses and a fast computer again. Four friends have done the same with successful results. If you feel comfortable with more than this than I would try just Anti-spyware & Antivirus and not a complete suite. I’m not an computer expert, just a much happier user now that I have my PC back.

5 Stars Good Product! Great Price!
I purchased the AVG Internet Security software as a Christmas gift for a friend. It arrived very quickly and was the perfect gift for our friend!

1 Star don,t buy this sofware it is horrible
i installed avg internet security and then 2 days later i had no internet. had to call the Fios tech support and they told me that my internet ipv4 address is just and my internet should be working so i uninstalled the AVG internet security and my internet came back and this software is horrible i recommend Adaware pro 2008 you get a lot better service plus more protection that,s why it cost more $49.99 with amazon.com plus free shipping that is a good deal

2 Stars Not what I expected.
This product requires removal of the original software. Most upgrades do not. It is an inconveient requirement.

1 Star Sometimes IE can’t connect to web site
I use AVG IS on 2 PCs, both have the same problem, SOMETIMES a newly opened IE window can’t connect to web site(even localhost) while ping and other web applications working fine. I did a lot of seach on internet, try to find out the problem and did some changes on my PC, finally found out it’s because of AVG. After uninstall AVG, they are back to normal. So I’m only using AVG Anti-Virus part now. And my PC got much faster.

5 Stars Norton 360 2.0
We have used Norton since the begaining of computers. I’v used them with all my computers Peter Norton’s products have always preformed prefectly.

1 Star Busy-Body Time Waster
I have approx. 200 days left on the subscription and so will see if things improve. The program craps out periodically, requiring a removal and then reinstallation. It also periodically knocks out my sound system, requiring reinstallation of the Extigy driver. The FireWall doesn’t tell you when it is “protecting” you, and so you waste time figuring out why an external drive doesn’t work or a network computer can’t be reached. Technical support is decent–but you have to wait in line with 62 other people ahead of you.

1 Star Do not buy
I just bought Norton 360 Premier 2.0 and it is a total piece of junk. It has been two days that I am trying to install it on a Windows XP sp2 system to no avail. It hangs at some point on the installation and nothing happens for hours. I even contacted their support via their chat line with some gentleman in India — which took a while to get to being the 30th person in the queue — just to install a freaking software. He “took over” my system via a remote session and who knows what he was doing (I could see the mouse moving and what not) and after spending HOURS and a couple of remote reboots I lost him and the remote session was not reestablished again. So I was back where I was with a remote controlled software somewhere installed on my computer (good luck finding that one).

I tried to uninstall the aborted software, again, to no avail. Ended up having to download special software to remove Norton products. Here is my question: is it worth the hassle and your time and money to go though this abuse? Even if this software is installed I wouldn’t have a warm and fuzzy that this piece of junk can protect my system. Bottom line: continue with your research and don’t buy this garbage.

4 Stars so far so good!!
Received product on time, way less expensive than other places, CD was installed in 30 minutes without no problems what so ever (granted I don’t know too much about computers) Installed in a XP system. Using the same for over a month now. Hope this help.

1 Star Best to avoid, unless your willing to mess with it
Some elements work well after you fiddle with them. The defaults appear to have been set by monkeys.

DO NOT USE THE BACK-UP!! It will take your system and grind it to a halt. It will not stop unless you reboot. It is BAD, as in this should never have been released bad.

FWIW, I am very experienced with PC’s and have been computing for over 20 years.

5 Stars PLEASE,PEOPLE DO YOUR HOMEWORK WHEN BUYING & INSTALLING SOFTWARE****THIS PRODUCT IS EXCELLENT****
LOOK,IM NOT GOING TO WASTE TIME WITH ALL THE DETAILS–THIS IS A EXCELLENT PRODUCT.I HAVE USED THE OLD 7.0 VERSION KASPERSKY AND JUST RECENTLY UPGRADED TO THE NEW 2009 VERSION.THE OLD VERSION WAS GOOD,BUT THIS IS EVEN BETTER–THE OLD VERSION HAD A TENDENCY TO SLOW MY COMPUTER ALOT DURING COMPUTER START-UP ONLY,BUT IT NEVER LET ME DOWN FOR PROTECTION. AND YES IT ASKED PERMISSION FOR EVERY SIMPLE EXECUTION OF ANY FILE THAT WAS CHANGED OR OPENED,IT WAS SIMPLY ANNOYING.THE NEW VERSION DOES ALOT OF THE WORK ITSELF RATHER THAN ASKING WHAT IT SHOULD DO.IT’S SIMPLIFIED AND IT’S EASY TO UPGRADE,IT TOOK ONLY 10 MINS.TOTAL TO UNINSTALL KASPERSKY 7.0, THEN POP IN THE CD TO UPGRADE KASPERSKY INTERNET SECURITY 2009—DO NOT USE ANYTHING ELSE!! NORTON OR MCAFEE WILL LET YOU DOWN PERIOD,I HAVE USED THE NORTON 360 AND HAD TO REPLACE MY HARD DRIVE BECAUSE A VIRUS HAD ENTERED MY SYSTEM.NOT GOOD, I PISSED GOOD MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN BECAUSE I RELIED ON A ANTI-VIRUS THAT DIDNT DO IT’S JOB AND NOT TO MENTION WAS A HUGE RESOURCE HOG–IT SLOWS DOWN YOUR COMPUTER TERRIBLY.I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE ARE HAVING TROUBLE INSTALLING THIS PROGRAM–ANYTIME YOU INSTALL ANYTHING ON YOUR COMPUTER DO SOME RESEARCH TO FIND IF IT’S COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR WINDOWS XP OR VISTA OPERATING SYSTEM. AND MAKE SURE ALL OF THE FILES FROM THE OTHER ANTI-VIRUS YOU WASTED YOUR MONEY ON– ARE GONE,BEFORE YOU START!!!KASPERSKY IS COMPATIBLE WITH XP AND VISTA—IT STARTS FASTER AND GUESS WHAT, WHEN I UPGRADED FROM KAS 7.0 TO KAS 2009-YOU KNOW HOW MANY VIRUSES I HAD!-NONE!!!NOW THAT’S RELIABILITY.

5 Stars Kaspersky Internet Security
Solid protection for internet….some problems with identifying and blocking intrusions but otherwise a good product

5 Stars Kaspersky anti-virus/spyware
I’m pleased with this product. I’ve used Norton for years, but lately

it’s created more bugs than it caught, and slowed down the computer.

I tried Micro Trent and AVG, but encountered problems with each attempt

at installation. Kaspersky installed easily, and works in the background including downloading frequent updates. Very user-friendly.

1 Star Overrated
I bought Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 (3-computer version) on sale for $28 and installed it on 3 laptops in my home. I quickly became dissatisfied with it in less than a week due to its layout and more importantly its overall function. It’s good at identifying viruses, trojans & such but it’s quite vague when it comes to what you should do with the threats it finds… delete them, ignore them, keep them quarantined, etc.? Many users end up seeking assistance from the Kaspersky forum where volunteer “expert” moderators try to assist non-expert users with achieving solutions to various problems including how to handle identified threats, how to troubleshoot & repair glitches, etc. Saying to hell with that mess, I uninstalled Kaspersky and replaced it with Norton Internet Security 2009 (3-computer version) which I’ve found to be far superior to Kaspersky in both design and function. Unlike prior Norton offerings, this edition is blazing fast, unobtrusive and extremely user-friendly. I strongly recommend using free trial downloads to evaluate other antivirus programs (including the free ones) before purchasing Kaspersky.

5 Stars Kaspersky internet security
Great price and great product. I have been using Kaspersky for 2 yrs and have not had any security problems, though I did have major trouble when I used a dif. security product. Since I was already using Kaspersky I wanted to stay with this product. Works for me.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Like this internet security software
2009 looks clean and sharp compared to their 2008 version. Easy software to install and easy to use. Have had Trend Micro Internet security for 5 years now and wouldn’t go to another ani-virus software.

5 Stars internet security
When purchasing this product it is important to know that if you purchase a 2008 version it will update to 2009. Listing what kind of security the security provides. The provider did. The product was on time and in good condition.

4 Stars Good Product
This product was highly recommended from others who are

using it. I would have to agree, that it is less expensive

and seems to operate less obtrusivly than other well known

products I have used in the past.

2 Stars conflicts with Outlook email
This program is ineffective at spam prevention. Since I get dozens of spam emails per day but perhaps one virus encounter per year, this program is a failure for me.

Here’s the issue: according to Microsoft, you can configure Outlook to download emails from multiple email accounts and use Outlook’s “rules” functionality to sort the emails into various folders (a different inbox folder for each email account that you are checking). TrendMicro’s AntiSpam feature conflicts with that Microsoft-recommended use of Outlook. Specifically, because the AntiSpam functionality conflicts with the Outlook rules, you will end up with all your spam DUPLICATED in your email folders and none will be eliminated.

There are far superior antispam programs that are actually written to be compatible with Outlook rules. For example, search online for Spam Reader. Not only does it eliminate spam and not conflict with Outlook rules, but it has a much nicer user interface that puts a big company like TrendMicro to shame.

When I contacted TrendMicro customer support about how their program was creating duplicate copies of all the spam, it took six interactions via email before they got around to saying the duplication problem “cannot be avoided”. (The other suggestions were amusingly unhelpful: Modify network protocol settings related to sending mass emails! Turn off TrendMicro! Realize you just have different people sending you the same spam message at the same instant!)

1 Star Viruses Not Stopped - Twice!
I’ve been using Trend Micro for two years now. It used to be all I recommended for friends and family. Recently, this program has become inept, for the second time in a year, allowing my computer to become infected with very hard-to-remove Trojan Viruses.

This virus wouldn’t allow windows updates, redirected my browsers, wiped out every restore point I ever had, and even deleted the administrator’s email account. They suggested I download and use their system cleaner, but that even failed to initialize.

Trend Micro’s chat support was completely useless, and so was there phone support. One phone support tech told me, “oh that’s a window’s problem”, and refused to help me. I downloaded Microsoft Windows Defender for free, which immediately quarantined the “Vundo” out of my system32 folder. It has finally been removed. I’ve written Trend Micro, who has refused to respond to me.

User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars Much Improved for 2009, But At Least One Fatal Flaw Rears Its Head
After years of running Norton Antivirus products, with ever increasing demands on system resources, as well as slowing down the machines these products were installed on, the completely rewritten version of Norton Internet Security 2009 has gone a very long way towards correcting years of bloatware code that was made worse with every new release.

This version installs fast, runs fast, and is almost entirely unobtrusive, with one very major exception.

This software will break your home or small business network.

In a well-documented bug first discovered in October 2008, Norton interferes with, and eventually blocks access to other machines on your home network. Norton admits there is a problem, and has been stalling customers for months with promises for a fix, yet keeps pushing the release date out further and further.

Install Norton 2009, and eventually all of the computers on your home network under My Network Places will disappear, and will eventually be blocked from access. While you can frequently manually reach your other networked machines by typing their addresses directly into an address bar, software that depends on access to your other networked machines directly (index, backup, small business collaboration tools, etc.) usually cannot work this way, and you are effectively cut off from using those applications. Worse, over time, Norton will begin periodically cutting off access to your networked machines. Suddenly file copying between machines fails, extremely long delays in accessing other computers on your network occurs, and your frustration level mounts.

Norton admits the only current solution to this problem is to completely uninstall Norton 2009 Antivirus/Internet Security products. There is no other workaround.

Worse yet, the responsiveness of the company to major software bugs has been less than acceptable. It literally takes months for even the most urgent bugs to get identified, corrected, and then put through a laborious test procedure. To add insult to injury, it then takes up to six additional weeks for the fixed code to be incorporated into their slow update release schedule and finally reach every customer.

This truly mars an otherwise promising product and makes it an unacceptable option for those dependent on networked machines, such as a home or small business network. If you are dependent on your network to access remote hard drives or collaborate in an office environment, Norton 2009 products are absolutely not acceptable for use and I strongly recommend you look elsewhere until the company finally fixes the problem.

A very lengthy discussion about this problem can be found on the Norton Community Forum. Simply search for “NAV blocks access to hard disk.” The later discussions in the thread contain the most pertinent information.

4 Stars Virus protection +
Norton Antivirus 2009This is a great buy for using on just one computer. These products from Norton work very well.

2 Stars Yes it did install - OK.
Yes it did install - OK. That’s the only reason it got 2 stars not one.

Mine main system was working fine until Norton AV 2009 (I have not used Norton software since the 90’s.) I thought I’ll try it again for the first time. Probs. after probs., I am going to reinstall my system again MINUS Norton AV 2009 and reinstall AVV and we will see if it’s the software or the hard drive… BUT I’m thinking it Norton AV 2009 is the prob. I have another partition with Ubuntu/Linux .. Yes I know why are you using Windows XP pro? Because of 90% of all software is written for Windows. 5 Stars Norton Antivirus 2009 Review
Excellent Product. Have purchased this product in the past and will continue to purchase it.

5 Stars Good Stuff
I’ve always used Norton and once again the 2009 version doesn’t disappoint. I got it at a really reasonable price, much cheaper than Walmart, Best Buy and even Symantec’s own website. My wife and I surf on alot of different websites and using Windows these days its so easy to get a virus or malware/spyware on your pc. I am happy to report that I have been using Norton since 2003 and have not had one bad incident. I highly recommend.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars nortons systemworks
Always have trusted products from this company. Have had great price from Amazon.com on this product. Will be back in the future to shop again because this is a good trusted site with better than average prices. Price was even better than Symantec online version for download.

1 Star lousy customer support
I’ve had to reformat my computer several times and each time I either get Norton Go Back to work, or the other diagnostics, but not both at the same time. A technician tried to help me online, but was unable. He told me someone would contact me the next day to resolve. That was months ago. It is still unresolved.

Norton does not seem to care about ensuring that its products work properly and this is one of the reasons I may be switching to a Mac for my next computer.

1 Star I received this product with not matching code.
I have been trying to install this product and the installation key in the envelope is not match the software. I’m wondering if the cd it was in the wrong box or was mess by the vendor.

3 Stars For 1 PC only?
I have 2 computers and I assume it will only work on one since you must use the code numbers to install. My old Norton was not like that.

4 Stars Simple, if long, set-up
I bought this to replace a 2006 version of SystemWorks, which was a cheaper approach than renewing the license. The set-up took a little while (maybe 20 minutes) and required a few restarts, but really nothing I wasn’t expecting.

One thing I want to stress is that I did NOT have to remove the old version. I have no idea why this wasn’t required for me, as so many other people seemed to have to do an uninstall first.

The separate install for the Virus Protection was a little strange (why wouldn’t I want it installed?) but, again, no issues with the process.

It’s running now and seems fine. No performance hit or anything like that. All in all, it seems good.

User Ratings and Reviews

1 Star Absolutely the worst anti-virus I’ve used
AVG is the most obtrusive piece of software I have on my computer–I know that most anti-virus systems do need a lot of latitude to work, but this one is ridiculous! I realized the other day that I’ve stopped using my computer to do quick checks of things like what the weather report for tomorrow is, or do a quick check of my email before I go to bed, because I know that AVG will take 5-10 minutes to “start” (it will down load something, then it will need to update something, then it will start a scan that I don’t want to start, — etc. I’ve watched AVG sucking the system resources and CPU time from my computer on the task manager window).

As an example of the AVG philosophy I went to their website to “complain” and filled out a form they supplied. As soon as I “hit” the submit button AVG went into a “gathering system data mode” to submit with the “complaint”(without my permission)–it also bought up a message that read; “THIS MAY TAKE A FEW MINUTES” which it did– TYPICAL. When completed I noticed that the system data gathered had been “prefixed” to my “complaint” but the “system info” was so long that is caused my customer input/complaint to be truncated/pushed off the bottom of the form. This is TYPICAL AVG!!!!

Save yourself lots of time and headaches–buy something else!!!!

Wish I could give Zero stars.

2 Stars My exp. with the free version
The AVG free version does not rid your system of every bad file on it. If you have say 150 malicious ware, AVG free version will probably expell about 50 out of that. I still had so many pop ups and slow computer performance. Avg has annoying pop ups that gives you options whether to delete a bad file, quarantine, ignore etc. So you click remove or quarantine and it prompts you to restart your computer. You do everything it tells you and guess what? That same annoying pop up box keeps showing up even though you asked to remove it. A full system scan takes me about 1.5 hours and afterwards I’m still bombarded with spyware. I suspect the pay version just removes a tad more files but not too much different.

5 Stars Don’t want viruses or spyware on your machine. AVG is the answer!
AVG software is the best antivirus/ antispyware available. We use it at our office after Norton didn’t catch 9 or 10 viruses on our computers…..We went to AVG and after 2 years NO VIRUSES OR SPYWARE ON our computers + the price and 2 years subscription is unbeatable. I feel our network is protected from deadly viruses and Trojan horses. If you want protect, you need AVG.

3 Stars Ok AntiVirus software
The product is ok however, it is way over priced, McAffee and BitDefender are better and they are alot cheaper.

4 Stars AVG Anti-Virus & Anti Spyware software
I recently purchased this item and found it to be very satisfactory for my needs. I’m 83 years old and what you might call Computer Illiterate. I found this software easy to Load and scanned my system finding no problems. I gave this program 4 stars ,will probably up that evaluation later on if it continues to preform as it has since installing it on my system. I am well pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking for Virus Protection.

4 Stars Very good antivirus program
I found this program easy to load, easy to use, and a very good antivirus.

5 Stars Best Yet !!
Panda is one of the best Anti-Virus programs that I Have ever used. Its an anti-virus and a whole lot more.

Highly Recommended

1 Star Do not purchase if you have Lojack on your laptop
Purchased this product due to good reviews. I had it installed on my Vista laptop for under a week and the AV locked down my network connection (”to prevent the spread of the trojan”) due to a false positive on a file used by Computrace. Tried to uninstall it and it would not let me (within Windows and via it’s own Uninstall executable). Emailed in a request for help and two days later received a automated reply to update my AV and do a full scan. Apparently they did not read my email. The Company is located in Spain, so there is no stateside phone number to call. Did some research online and have found numerous folks have had the same problem (with false positives) for the past 5 years. They apparently have not fixed the problem. I am now working on getting a refund, but do not expect much.

5 Stars Panda Antivirus
I am no computer expert, yet I can set up Panda and run a virus scan all by myself! It is simple to use and very efficient. I have never had a problem with Panda and have used it for several years and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a reliable program!

4 Stars Panda Antivirus Pro 2009
Panda Antivirus Pro is rated Good by many, we have had no problems with this software, updates regularly and does not intrude or bog down computer has kept our computers free of infections and spyware even malware removed with Panda Antivirus was easy to install about ten minutes we have had many different Antivirus programs and this one compares to all the better programs out there on the market today, allows me to work around it while it scans my system, you can even scedule this program to scan when you scedule it for your time not just what the manufacture sets as a time to scan this makes it easy when you don’t want any scanning being performed while you are busy or need to leave in a hurry and can not attend your computer while it scans

I’ve used this product on 2 laptops and a desk top. This version isn’t as easy. I find the computer freezes much too much now, so I give it a half and half

4 Stars Norton 360 better than expected.
I was really impressed with Norton 360. It found a trojan and fixed it right away. I had McAfee beforehead and it did not detect this problem. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in protecting their laptop or desktop.

1 Star Don’t Waste Your Time or Your Money
I’ve been using Norton 360 for over a year for two features, anti-virus protection, and an online back up service. Both of these failed.

My wife’s laptop with Norton 360 installed and up to date virus definitions got infected with a virus in December. The virus took over Norton and disabled it. I reinstalled Norton, updated the virus definitions, and tried to root out the virus. Norton didn’t help. I checked their online support and indeed they couldn’t provide a fix.

At this point I reformatted the drive and reinstalled Windows and all applications, including Norton 360. I began receiving Windows fatal errors, which pointed to Norton. Their online support claimed it was a memory problem.

I replaced the memory, and for good measure replaced the hard drive. Another new install. Everything worked fine until I installed Norton 360. I was then receiving continual fatal errors. I uninstalled Norton, switched to McAfee, and everything works fine.

I then went about trying to restore the data from Norton’s online back up site. I needed to do so from a different computer , because Norton crashed the original computer at boot-up. I could retrieve a limited amount of data, but not all of it. I spent more than 7 hours over 4 calls with Norton support. Their support was very poor and they frequently provided wrong information.

I was finally told that I could only restore the data back to the original machine from which the data came, and it had to be running Norton 360. I explained that the original machine crashed every time I loaded 360, so I need to download the files to another machine and then transfer them manually. Their plan was to completely change the settings on my new machine to be identical to the original machine, including serial number, etc. I then decided to ask for a refund.

Well, it ends up a refund is not so easy if you bought the software from a retailer. If you bought online from Norton they will give you a refund immediately, but if you bought from a retailer you need all original packaging, original receipt, everything.

I’ve purchased a lot of Norton products over the years and they could see when I installed, what the product key is, etc., but that was not good enough. Their answer was “don’t buy from a retailer, buy online directly from Norton.”

So I wasted weeks of my time troubleshooting, hours on the phone with Norton, and bought unnecessary hardware, all thanks to Norton.

4 Stars Norton 360 has been quite dependable
I have been using Norton 360 for about fourteen months and just renewed my susbscription. I found the product to be very reliable. It automatically updates virus definitions and performs scans and every operation that I have programmed it to do. The only aspect I am not certain about is how good it is in stopping ads from infiltrating my system. Therefore, in addition to Norton 360, I have had to download and periodically run other adware programs.

My one advice to new users is to not update to version 3.0 when it comes out. I believe it is preferable to wait until the subscription expires and then update. And, when updating, it is best to completely uninstall the old version before installing the new.

5 Stars Great price.
Purchasing Norton 360 through Amazon rather than at the local computer store saved me over $20. This is the security recommended by my computer and I wanted to renew my introductory free 3-month subscription but even renewing on line would have cost me $10 more. I think I got a great deal.

1 Star Computer has crashed
Since I have uninstalled the free AVG computer secutity software and installed the Norton Internet security software on my computer, the computer has become infected with a virus and unusable. I am glad I did not install it on any of my other computers.

1 Star Terrible User Interface
I recently switched to this from McAffe, and I think I’ll be switching back soon

The Norton Internet Security Window is very helpful only to those who have absolutely NO IDEA how internet security works. For people who want to command the program, it merely tells them what they already know.

Norton’s UI is made up of a series of windows and icons that attempt to reach the computer illiterate. They can be turned off, but they give computer-smart users little peace of mind.

For example, the Phishing filter on internet explorer. It sits there, telling you it is “on”. So what? I have NEVER seen it do ANYTHING in my entire online experience.

It didn’t even warn me when I went to a fake site, firefox let me know and I got nothing from Norton.

Along with this, Norton is highly lacking in features. Unlike McAffe, it doesn’t have the very handy SiteAdvisor, which, through the equivilent of Website crash-testing, rigourously checks every icon and file on any given site and gives a rating of how safe that website is.

I can only reccomend this program to those who don’t know how to protect themselves and those who just go to a few sites over and over again. Quite like acting as though you had a limited account on Windows.

For those who want to explore without worry, look elsewhere.

5 Stars Great Product
I’ve been a long time user of Norton Products (10+ years) and NIS is probably the best version yet. Easy to install and easy to keep up to date are big pluses with the program. It seems to run alot smoother that previous versions of the program, I haven’t seen it “bog down” my system, like previous versions seem to have done. The newer features, like Norton Insight and the Home Network settings seem to be easier to use. It’s worth the money to keep your ssytem up to date…get it!

5 Stars norton rocks!
Norton was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and grew up in Columbia, Maryland. His mother Robin, an English teacher, died of a brain tumor in 1997; his father, Edward Sr. is an attorney and former federal prosecutor under the Carter administration who now works for the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Norton Jr. is the grandson of developer James W. Rouse (also see The Rouse Company), who designed the city of Columbia, Maryland (where Norton grew up) and who also helped develop Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and Boston’s Quincy Market. He has two younger siblings; his sister Molly Norton, who attended Washington and Lee University and his brother Jim with whom he has collaborated professionally.

5 Stars best deal, best anti-virus
After I received my Norton Internet Security 2008, I installed it on my Vista computer with no problems. In fact, after fifteen minutes of activating the program, Norton e-mailed me and gave me a link to a free upgrade to the new Norton Internet Security 2009. Again it installed flawlessly. Then I installed the program on my XP computer with the same ease and with the same free upgrade. It has detected virus attacks and has recognized cookies, adware and spyware. It is a very good program at a very good price. Highly recommended.
